To create an SMS template in Healthengine Recalls, navigate to Recalls and select ‘Templates’ in your Practice Admin.
Under your Active Templates, you'll see the option to click 'Create New Template' and you'll be directed to the ‘Create Template’ screen where you can create a custom template.
In the ‘Name’ box, type in a name that will make the SMS template easily identifiable for future usage.
In the ‘Content’ box, add the body text of the recall message. You can use the recommended 'relevant code' to add message content that will prefill the message with information specific to the patient - this will save you from manually customising each SMS recall you send.
Once you are happy with the template, click ‘Save Template’. If you wish to cancel the template creation at any time, you can do so by clicking the ‘Cancel’ button.
Editing an SMS Template
To edit an SMS template in the Healthengine Recalls system, navigate to the Templates section of Recalls and select the template you wish to edit.
You will be directed to the ‘Edit Template’ screen where you can change the template as needed - once done, ensure you click the 'Save Template' button for your edited template to be updated immediately.
Deleting and Archiving SMS Templates
To delete or archive an SMS template in the Healthengine Recalls system, navigate to the Templates section of Recalls and select the template you wish to remove. Beside the 'Save Template' button you'll see the 'Archive Template' and 'Delete Template' buttons, select the button corresponding to your practice needs.
Archived templates won’t appear in the ‘Choose template’ drop down list when sending an SMS recall and can be re-added to Active Templates at any time by selecting the template and clicking ‘Save Template’. Deleted templates cannot be re-activated as they are permanently removed from your Recalls system.
Healthengine's Pre-Made Recalls Templates
To help your practice save time, Healthengine has created pre-made SMS templates to use in your Recalls system! To use one of these templates, simply select the 'Templates' tab in the Recalls section of your Practice Admin.
From here, click the 'Add HE default template/s' button then select the default SMS templates you'd like to add before pressing 'Add Templates' - this will add the chosen templates to your 'Active Templates'.
