Managing Public Holidays Follow

Is a public holiday coming up and you can't see your appointments online? Fortunately, managing your public holidays is easy whether you use your integrated Practice Management Software (PMS) with Healthengine or our Sidebar feature!

Integrated PMS

If your practice is open on a public holiday, we firstly recommend that you navigate to your Healthengine Practice Profile and check if your availability for this day is publishing online. If you can't see appointments online for an upcoming public holiday, you can conveniently turn this on through your Practice Admin!

Simply log into your Practice Admin and navigate to 'Appointments setup' and then 'Appointment types' > 'Practitioner types'.



From here, click the relevant practitioner to view their connected appointment book and their appointment types.


Where you see the name of your Practice Management Software, below that is the appointment book name we are connected to currently, and there is a button which says 'Change appointment book' as seen below:


*** If you don't see this option, please go to Integrated PMS - Shared Server


A pop up will appear and you'll have the option to select whether this appointment book will publish on public holidays.

Please Note: Be sure to click 'Update' after you make your changes!



If your practice is closed on a particular public holiday, simply close off your appointment book for this day and ensure no appointments are publishing on your Healthengine Practice Profile.


Integrated PMS - Shared Server

If your practice is on a shared server with other practices, then unfortunately you will not have the option to update this information in Practice Admin.

Please contact our Healthengine Support Team prior to the public holiday to make these changes for your practice - simply email or contact us via chat or phone. 


Sidebar Users

If your practice uses Sidebar or the Healthengine Calendar and is not open on an upcoming public holiday, you will simply need to remove all online appointments for that day.
