How to perform a Manual Scan for Dental4Windows Follow

 

To perform a manual scan of your Dental4Windows, please complete the following instructions:

1. Have your HealthEngine Sidebar opened on the right-hand side of your computer

2. Close your Dental4Windows (You only need to close Dental4Windows on this computer, not all computers)

3. Log into your Sidebar and press the circular arrow icon to 'Refresh' the Sidebar

 

 

4. Follow the prompts to sync the availability from your Dental4Windows 

5. Wait 1-2 minutes then reopen your Dental4Windows appointment book

6.  Wait 1-2 minutes then the availability from your Dental4Windows should pull through to your Sidebar

 

Alternatively, if the above process did not pull through the updated availability, please follow the below steps to do a manual scan by restarting your Appointment Connector. 

1. Log onto practice server 

2. Close your Dental4Windows (You only need to close Dental4Windows on this computer, not all computers)

3. Click on Start Menu 

4. Search for ‘Services’ 

5. Click on ‘Services’ (gear cog icon)

6. Double-Click on the 'HealthEngine Appointment Connector'

  •  If the service says 'Running', please press 'Stop' wait for it to load, then press 'Start'
  •  If the service says 'Stopped' please press 'Start'. 

7. Once running, please check that there is information populating in the 'View Log' in the Systray Monitor.

8. Wait 1-2 minutes then open your Dental4Windows

9. The manual scan is now complete! 

Your updated availability should now reflect in your HealthEngine Sidebar.
