AstraZeneca, Pfizer or Moderna?

For third doses, Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are the preferred option however, AstraZeneca can be used under the following conditions:

  • If the patient received AstraZeneca for their first two doses and there were no contraindications or precautions for use.
  • Or, if there was a significant adverse reaction after receiving a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine dose that contraindicates further doses of the vaccine.

For booster doses, Pfizer is currently the recommended vaccine.
