At Healthengine, we have introduced tighter security to the Healthengine app to protect your data and make the app more user-friendly!
All users will need to go through a two-factor authentication process by logging in using your email/password and then entering an SMS code that will be sent to your primary profile's mobile number.
You will also need to create a passcode which you'll be asked to enter whenever you launch the app or after 10 minutes of inactivity. For convenience, we also let users enable Touch ID or Face ID to enter the app and have the passcode set as a backup.
To setup a passcode, follow the instructions below:
Setting up a passcode
Step 1:
Once you click 'create a passcode' you will need to create a 4 digit passcode that you will then need to confirm.
Step 2:
Once confirmed, you will need to verify your details by sending a verification code to your primary profile's mobile number.
Please note: If you need to change your mobile number, first log into our website and verify your email address using the instructions here.
Following this, return to the app and when you login to set a passcode the option will appear for you to change your mobile number and complete the verification code process.
All done!
This update will allow us to release a number of features that will further increase the usability of the app, so look out for future updates coming soon.
What's with Touch ID?
If you activated Touch ID, you can close your app down and reopen it to log in using touch ID and see how it works. If you change your mind, you can toggle the Touch ID setting off in your app. To do this, click the user icon in the top right hand corner of the app to go to your account settings.
Then scroll down to App security under settings.
In here, you can change your passcode and toggle on or off the Touch ID.
If you have any further questions regarding this process please contact our friendly Healthengine Support team at patienthelp@healthengine.com.au
