How to temporarily disable and re-enable practitioners for online bookings Follow

  • Do you have a practitioner who is set up in your Practice Management Software but they don’t want to publish their appointments online just yet?
  • Do you have a vaccination practitioner set up and you’re waiting on the arrival of the stock before you book more patients in?

This article will walk you through how to temporarily disable this practitioner for online bookings via your Practice Admin portal; including how to re-enable them for when you’d like to publish their availability online again.

 

Log into your Practice Admin portal at https://healthengine.com.au/appointment/admin/

 

To disable a practitioner from publishing online:

 

Once you’re logged in, navigate to the 'Settings' menu on the left-hand side and select 'Manage Practitioners' from the menu.

Click ‘Edit appointment types’ next to the practitioner you’d like to disable for online bookings.

This will take you to their appointment type setup page where you can toggle OFF online bookings from showing on the HealthEngine Network and/or the Online Booking System on your practice website and Facebook page, if applicable.

  1. Toggling off the first option will hide this practitioner’s availability from the HealthEngine Network; on the HealthEngine website and app. 
  2. Toggling off the second will hide this practitioner’s availability from the Online Booking System on your practice website and Facebook page, if you have this as part of your current product bundle.  

 

To re-enable a practitioner to publish appointments online:

Navigate back to the 'Settings' menu on the left-hand side and select 'Manage Practitioners' from the menu.

Click on the ‘Edit appointment types’ button for the practitioner you’ve previously disabled for online bookings.

Once this page loads, you can toggle the practitioner back ON to publish availability to the HealthEngine Network and/or the Online Booking System on your practice website and Facebook page, if you have it set up.

Toggling on the relevant options will automatically update your practitioner; there will be no need to save any changes.
