How to Install the Web Plugin on Your Facebook Page
Adding a Healthengine booking link to your Facebook Business Page makes it easy for patients to book appointments directly from Facebook — even outside of business hours.
Step 1: Find Your Practice ID
Your Practice ID is the number shown in the address bar when you're logged into your Practice Admin portal or viewing your practice profile on Healthengine.
For example, if your practice profile URL is:
https://healthengine.com.au/medical-centre/wa/perth/example-practice/s12345
Your Practice ID is 12345.
Step 2: Build Your Booking URL
Your unique online booking URL follows this format:
https://healthengine.com.au/book/YOUR_PRACTICE_ID
Replace YOUR_PRACTICE_ID with the number from Step 1. For example:
https://healthengine.com.au/book/12345
💡 Test the URL in your browser first to make sure it loads your practice's booking page correctly.
Step 3: Create a Pinned Post With Your Booking Link
-
Go to your practice's Facebook Business Page and log in as an admin.
-
Click Create post (or "What's on your mind?") at the top of your page's feed.
-
Write a short message inviting patients to book online, for example:
"Book your next appointment online — quick, easy, and available 24/7! Click the link below to get started."
-
Paste your booking URL from Step 2 into the post:
https://healthengine.com.au/book/YOUR_PRACTICE_ID -
Click Post to publish.
-
Once published, click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner of the post.
-
Select Pin to top of page.
The post will now stay at the top of your Facebook page, making it the first thing patients see when they visit.
Patients visiting your Facebook page will now see a Book Now button that takes them directly to your Healthengine online booking calendar.
Step 4: Add the Booking Link to Your Facebook "About" Section (Optional)
You can also add the booking URL to your page's About or Website field so patients can find it easily:
- On your Facebook Business Page, click About (or Edit Page Info).
- In the Website field (or an additional website field), paste your booking URL.
- Click Save Changes.
Tips
- The booking URL works anywhere — you can also share it in Facebook posts, Messenger replies, or your page bio.
- If you also want to add the web plugin to your practice website, go to
Practice Admin > Appointments Setup > Website Pluginfor your unique embed code and further options. - Make sure your appointment types are configured and availability is published before directing patients to your booking link.
