How to Request Deletion of Your Healthengine Personal Data?

This article explains how to request deletion of personal data from Healthengine, what information you must provide to verify identity, how deletion is handled, and special requirements for requests concerning deceased users.

How do I request deletion of my personal data?

You can request deletion by contacting Healthengine Support; you will be asked to verify your identity before deletion proceeds. After receipt, Healthengine confirms the request and provides a reference number.

What identity information must I provide to get my data deleted?

You must provide the following details so Healthengine can confirm your identity:

  1. First and last name of the primary Healthengine user.
  2. All email addresses that have been associated with the user.
  3. All mobile numbers associated with the user.

You may provide these details by replying to the support email or arrange to provide them over the phone.

What happens after I provide identity verification?

Once identity is confirmed, Healthengine will delete or de‑identify the personal information associated with the account. You will receive confirmation that the request has been received and processed (a reference number will be issued).

Will my data be removed everywhere immediately?

No. Copies of personal information may remain:

  • In backup systems for 90 days, and
  • In other systems which cannot practically be deleted or de‑identified.

Can I delete my account myself?

Yes. You can delete your profile or account yourself via the Healthengine app or website. Follow the self‑service guides:

Are there any exceptions or other ways my information may continue to be used?

Healthengine provides services directly to health practices (for example: recalls, feedback surveys, appointment reminders, repeat prescriptions, check‑in kiosk functionality). If a practice provides information to Healthengine for these services, that personal information may continue to be provided to or handled by Healthengine for the purpose of delivering those services.

What if the account belongs to a deceased person?

To request deletion of a deceased user’s account, provide:

  1. The user’s first and last name.
  2. The user’s email address connected to the account.
  3. The user’s mobile number connected to the account.
  4. Date of the user’s passing.
  5. A copy of the death certificate.
  6. Proof of authority to act on behalf of the user (for example: Letters of Administration, Power of Attorney, or Grant of Probate).

Healthengine will not proceed without these documents.

Troubleshooting: common issues and tips

  • If you prefer not to send identity details by email, request to provide them over the phone when replying to the support confirmation.
  • Keep your support reference number handy when following up.
  • Understand that backup retention and certain operational systems may retain copies for up to 90 days or longer where practical deletion is not possible.

Provide the required identity details (or requested documentation for deceased users) to Healthengine Support or use the self‑service deletion guides to remove your account. After verification, Healthengine will delete or de‑identify your personal information, noting that copies may persist in backups and certain systems.
